Air intake tube...another great discovery at the salvage

I couldn't use the factory air intake tube and air box from the Crown Vic donor in the 61. The driver side fender was getting full with rad antifreeze reservoir, horn, windshield washer reservoir, etc...there was very little room available. Only one small spot was available between the master cylinder and antifreeze reservoir. I needed to make something that would turn 90 degrees off of the original air intake tube, yet short enough to stop at the inner fender. On top of this, i needed a spot for the MAF and Air Intake Temp sensor. I found an air intake tube from a 2009 Ford Contour. It had a flat spot to mount the MAF, and a bung to insert the air intake temp sensor. Luckily, the tube has two different diameter ends, so one end slid over the factory tube had to cut and shorten and the smaller end slid into the air filter flange. Lastly, it had the correct bend to end up in the correct location for the filter.Sometimes you just get lucky!
