Who stocks that black tab? Mine is missing. The local bone yard did not have any hack-saw blades for it's
cordless saw. I hunch the tab will not thread off the steel rod. Any suggestions?

What plastic tab are you referring to? What's its purpose?

No idea how to add a picture, it is a black plastic piece that releases the emergency brake. Looked quick at Concours and C & G.. no dice. Try Macs or Carpenter. They come up on eBay but you have to buy the whole assembly.

I have the catalogs for MACS and Carpenter. I looked for the tab. However, I did not find it.
That's why I'm here on the Forum. If I'm wrong, advise what page.

Who is CTC? I see the great picture. What's the price?

I phoned the yard in Texas. They want $125. + $15. S&H. That's kind of steep for me right now.

...just a thought but why not get a piece of stock, shape it slightly, drill a hole on the back side, insert the metal rod, weld and paint black? It will never break again and you are not spending the money on an older brittle piece of plastic that may break again?

I contacted a yard in Minn. that was parting out a 59 Ford via a listing on eBay. They sold me a
e. brake assy. for $85. including S&H.

Definitely look at the Dorman one I suggested. Summit has others as well. If you're handy this should be a cinch to do. I just have to remember that not everyone has a full machine shop in their garage.
