Hello all. I was hoping someone can help me out with some photos. I'm trying to restore the column shift linkage on my 1968 Custom 3 speed, and I'm having problems with the 2nd and 3rd gear shift rod. Ive been cutting and bending and welding trying to get this rod the correct length and angle, but cannot seem to find the right combination. Getting into second is not a problem, as that is just pulling the linkage upward. But pushing it all back down to get into 3rd is where I run into problems, as the shift rod tends to buckle rather than shift the lever on the transmission. If someone has a stock 3 speed column shift Galaxie that would be willing to take some photos of the shift linkage and transmission levers that would be awesome. If you need I could provide a set of sample photos that you could just replicate. Thanks for reading.
