    Gille badging

    What determines whether a '62 500 has the front grille badge or not? I see many with and without.

    In some case weather the original purchaser wanted one.  I think all the 500 were supposed to come with one but some times the dealer removed them.  Also some times the badge just didn't survive the test of time.
