1964 Galaxie power brake booster fitting

On my '64 Galaxie with power brakes and 390 engine, there is a plastic fitting that goes in the booster, and it has a big nipple for the vacuum hose that comes from the intake manifold, but it also has a smaller nipple.  Does anyone know what that's for?

It could be an extra vacuum port for a vacuum canister so you can maintain power brakes with a lopy cam or at low idle.  It could also be an extra port for other vacuum lines...  Honestly I can not say for sure just guessing.

Mine just had a rubber end cap on it.
