I'm new to Fords. I just bought a 64 Galaxie 500 xl with a 390 4v. with PS. I would like to know what headers would work and fit the best. Difference between long and short. Has after market intake and carb.

Ford Powertrain seems to get a lot of positive reviews for their headers. Long tube headers will make a little more torque at the bottom end, but shorties can be easier to fit. Anything is going to be way better than stock manifolds. Don't be surprised if any header needs a little massage, or dimple to clear something, no matter how well they are supposed to fit. Every car is different.
