Couple questions:
1. Is the standard trans a C4 or C6 for these beauties?
2. The trans won't go into drive when cold - seems to want to warm up or at least "get the juices flowing" first. Does fine once warm and driven. Any idea what's going on?

Hard seals not sealing cold or low fluid level.

The trans could depend on what engine it had. The data plate will have a trans code that you can look up and you can get underneath and do a visual identification as the different transmissions look different.

First off...Welcome! Now to your question. Your trans depends on a few things, engine size being the biggest. Definitely do as everyone suggests and check the tag on the trans. Just because your data tag says it came with a certain trans does NOT mean after fifty years that it is what is currently in it. What size /type of engine is in your '67?
