metal thickness

hi guys. how thick in mm is the bodywork metal on a 67 gal ?

Here is some numbers from a chart in our office. You'll have to confirm what gauge metal the body panel you are working on is made from.

26Ga - 0.45mm - .0179"
24Ga - 0.60mm - .0239"
22Ga - 0.76mm - .0299"
20Ga - 0.91mm - .0359"
18Ga - 1.21mm - .0478"
16Ga - 1.51mm - .0598"

I'm sure Google will give you other sources to confirm, or correct this info.

Rick at NPD offered insights here. (the poster "69bossnine" about 1/4 down the page).. I have exchanged informative emails personally with him on another topic believe he's a straight shooter.  Although the thread and the forum are focused on Mustangs, his comments are apt for '67 Galaxies (short answer:  19 gauge originally).
