Y-Block heads

Can anyone tell me what a good set of bare ecz-g posted heads are going for these days? And also what are bare 471 heads going for.  These are for the old Ford Y-Block engines.     Thanks!

Re: Y-Block heads

I've seen complete G heads go in the 200-300$ range. The 471 heads would likely go in the same range due to its specific supercharger application. Guess you could adjust the price for bare heads but for complete 60yr old heads I would be replacing the springs, valves and retainers.

Re: Y-Block heads

Thanks for the reply Dan. I have a lot of Y-Block parts that I am going to try and get rid of because I don't have a vehicle that has a y-block in it anymore. I sold my 55 T-Bird a couple of years ago and am using the proceeds from that sale to finish the restoration on my 63 1/2 galaxie 500XL 4speed. I will try to post all my y-block parts in the proper forum and on other Ford sites.  Thanks again for the reply.
PS I lived in the east Hilltop area for awhile when I worked on I-40 in the early to mid 60s from Kingman to Seligman.

Re: Y-Block heads

I just moved here about 5yrs ago from Mi. although I've traveled the area since the 80's. Don't miss the snow/cold of Mi. a bit. I've been through Winslow a few times and of course had my pic taken at the "Standing on the Corner" site.
Currently have a 57 Ford with a Yblock that I'm trying to sell. Have some Yblock parts around but I'll probably try to sell them off when the 57 sells. My Starliner has a 406 and my newly acquired 60 Courier has a sbf.
