Hi Guys,
I am installing a Gas tank insulation pad into my '61 Galaxie, which either didn't have one, or the original was missing. The kit that I bought says '62-'64, but I am hoping it will fit. The kit is actually 2 pads about 13X17 inches in diameter, and one side of the pads are smooth like roofing felt, but the other side of the pads are embossed with squares. The best way I can describe it is, it looks like a big, square waffle. My question is, Which side faces the gas tank. Does the smooth side lay on the tank, and the waffle side face the trunk floor, or vise versa? Here is a picture
