When replacing this switch, will bleeding the brakes be required?
If so, can they be bled without pulling the wheels?

if the switch is on the master cylinder you can try this trick: take the cap off, stretch some saran wrap over the reservoir, and put the cap back on. you should be able to remove and replace the switch without losing any appreciable amount of fluid. And there's no reason to take the wheels of to bleed the brakes unless you want to for elbow room. You should replace the fluid, by the way, if you can't recall the last time you did so; since it naturally absorbs water over time.
