Ok, all the US guys.
Does anyone have any info on Convertible top manufacturers.
I would like to replace my vinyl one with a new Cloth or Merc material top.
Cheers, Aaron.

Unfortunately The aftermarket does not support the Galaxie the way it does cars like the Mustang. There options like dearborn classics, and I did look they have tops for 62 virts, but even they are limited.
As a 62 owner myself I have come to the conclusion that our cars are the red headed step child of the Galaxie family there are even less parts for us than the cars before us and way less than the cars after us. Its a little better for a 63 or 64 but once you get to 65 parts become a ton easier to get.
If I were you I think I would find a good upholstery shop in your area and have them make one. Then you can get it made out of exactly what you want. They can use the original top as a pattern and you already have all the parts and accessories you will need to put it all together. Just a thought.

You might check out www.ezsofttops.com. They might have what you're looking for.

Hi there, I saw you posted sometime back that you were looking to replace your top. How did you get on? I've got a 61 Sunliner and wanting to replace the top and trying to find any recommendations of brands people use. I'm in New Zealand so looking to buy from the US and then fit it locally or myself.
Thanks

I have a 61 Sunliner and had the top replaced many years ago. Had the top installed at a local upholstery shop. I recently watched a video on how to install soft tops. If I had to replace the top again, I wouldn't be afraid to do it myself. There are numerous vendors on the net that sell tops for that car. Good luck!
