An alternator on a 59 ?

According to the engineering drawing book,  an alternator was an option on 59 Fords.
My generator works fine.  However,  the belt adjusting bolt is accessible only from the back side....
AND, they had 2 styles of adjusting brackets.
QUESTIONS:   Has anyone switched to an alternator?  Does anyone have a spare adjusting
bracket that works from the front side?

Re: An alternator on a 59 ?

This is how an alternator swap is done on a 63. I would think same for you. I would skip the quick shut off and toggle switch part. Check out the notes on the brackets used.
