Thanks Daze, that seems to be the most popular remedy i've come across so far.

I've also heard that mothballs, work. Also heard something about clothes dryer sheets, eg... snuggles, white rain, etc....
I guess in all these remedies, it is the smell, that repels them.
I have some barns and outbuildings on my property and I would rather use them instead of paying for a strorage garage. However, I would be happy to pay a storage fee instead of having a mouse eat through the wiring of my Galaxie.
It will be the first year i've had to store anything through a winter, and I would like to avoid all rodent, troubles.

Hi All,
With fall and winter approching soon, I was wondering, does anybody have any remedys, (homespun or otherwise) to keep mice out of your car while it is in storage?
I was at a car show last weekend and a guy with a GTO told me that he uses canisters with cloves in them. He said it works great.
I figured he was b.s.ing me when, sure enough, he pulls out a pill bottle sized container full of cooking cloves, with an open fabric cover held on by a rubber band.
He said in 4 winter's of stoage, they never failed to work. He places 4 or 5 containers through out the car, and it always works.
    Anyone Else with some ideas?

Hi all, I made a stop a a fairly good sized book/cigar store last week. I was looking for some Ford collecter car magazines.
I found 1 euro Ford magazine, 1 dealing with new Fords and the rest were all for Mustang enthusists, what gives?
Their must be some Ford hobbiest mags out there, besides the ones i've mentioned, right?
Soooo, if any body knows of any, "other" Ford magizines out there, I would LOVE to hear about them.
         Many  Thanks!

 Wow, That is terrible.
I realize that alot of people on this website probably have Mustangs as well as Galaxies, but for whatever reason, the Galaxie was always my favorite Ford.
I learned to drive in a 66 Fairlane, 289, and even as a kid I remember thinking that it seemed to rattle and ride poorly.
My buddy had a 69 Galaxie and I owned a 70 Custom and I just loved both those cars. That's probably how I ended up on this Forum.

Jeff and Daze, thanks for the info and link. Every day I get closer to fulfilling a life long dream.
Having a nice project car to go to shows with.
Years ago, my family and I went to the Mopar Nationals, ( a big mopar car show ) in Indianapolis IND.
Do Ford enthuesiests have any shows to attend? If so, when and where is it?
Thanks again for your help.

(possibly a repeat reply as ai am having technical difficulties)
Thanks for the reply, I don't know much about either motors.
 However, a 390 that has a 5 - speed sounds pretty cool. ( especially the 16 mpg part )
Do you know of anyone that put a modern 4 spd. auto on an older big block, or if that is even possible?
