new wheels for black 64 fastback

I need new wheels for mine, and am leaning towards either Weld Draglites or maybe chromed factory wheels. Here are pics of both. Any opinions are welcome.
Does anybody know where chromed factory wheels can be bought?

Re: new wheels for black 64 fastback

Had Weld draglites on my 69 Mustang and my 63.5 Galaxie also got draglites after few years

IMO they look good on 63-64 Galaxies

Yes, that is a great look! Nice cars.
Can you tell me what size tires and wheels you used? The offsets would also be very helpful.
Thanks.

Re: new wheels for black 64 fastback

A couple more questions-
do the fronts ever rub when turning?
did you consider 275/60/15's in the back or would they be too big?
Thanks again!

Re: new wheels for black 64 fastback

Sorry for VERY late respons. The front wheels doesnt rub with that dimensions. For my car, the used 255/66R15s are big enough.275/60/15 may also work great. More that a half year ago now, have you got weld draglites?

Re: new wheels for black 64 fastback

Last time I was with the car, I noticed that the leaf springs, or spring clamps, are rubbing the insides of the back tires and causing damage. When I installed the tires, I had to move one spring clamp that was definitely rubbing. They are 275/60/15, wheels are 15 by 8- 41/2 backspacingI noticed that the car handled pretty well and had been driving it in a somewhat spirited manner through the twisties. Could the rear end be shifting left or right going around curves, causing the interference?I have seen pictures of other 64 Galaxies with the rear tires pretty close to the springs, but no rubbing problems were mentioned. When I get back up there, I will check to see if the clamps or springs themselves are causing the problem and can maybe move or grind down the clamps a bit to help. I did not see a panhard bar under the car and don't know if 64's were supposed to come with them and if installing one would help. Any thoughts  are appreciated

Re: new wheels for black 64 fastback

Im not an expert when it come to suspension, but my thoughts is that 275/60/15 tires, which is a kind of "high proflie tire", vs low profile, the tire walls may "bend " a bit in when youre driving in curves, and then touch the leafs, in spite that its mainly the bottom of the tire which "bends" caused by the road. Tried using spacers? Maybe the tire is touching the rear fender with spacers. And non of the 64 Galaxie came originally with panhard bars, I strongly assume. Never heard of it

Re: new wheels for black 64 fastback

I bought custom made chrome reverse wheels from Stockton Wheels (http://www.stocktonwheel.com/smoothie.html) years ago.
I used the Milners without any "trim rings" or "baby moons", love the dedicated bolt pattern instead of using some universal bolt pattern 10 hole swiss cheese effect. My Radial TA's look great on them.
Don't know if that's the old-school effect you're looking for, though.
